Mission of the Rainey-McCullers School of the Arts World Language Department
The Spanish program at Rainey-McCullers School of the Arts is designed to introduce students to the language and culture of Spanish speakers throughout the world. Music, art, dance, drama, and technology are part of our lessons to engage and challenge students. The goal of our program is to cultivate a love of learning through meaningful lessons that will lead students to better understand themselves and the world around them. Learning a foreign language impacts a student’s ability to better understand global issues, to connect with others who speak a different language, and to understand and respect the cultural perspectives and practices that shape humanity. Ultimately, the long-term goal of instruction for me is to equip students to be able to reach out to our global community and make a positive impact through their actions.
